Lucille Mary Kolodziej, age 94, of Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 2546 College Street, Quincy, died on Monday, July 13, 2009 at 3:30 a.m. in the Home. She was born on October 14, 1914 in Danville, Illinois, a daughter of Joseph and Antonet (Wujek) Mackiewicz. She married Aloysius A. Kolodziej on May 20, 1939 in Danville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1993.

Lucille was a member of the Church of St. Peter.

She attended McMillan Grade School and Westville Township High School in Danville. Lucille was a home maker.

Survivors include:
ONE DAUGHTER: Mary Ann Idelsohn of Royal Oak, MI;
TWO DAUGHTERS- IN-LAW: Carolyn Kolodziej of Quincy, IL; and Dianne Kolodziej of Benton, IL;
SIX GRANDCHILDREN: Stephen Kolodziej of Chicago, Mark Kolodziej, and Anne Hall and her husband Andrew all of Champaign, IL, Christa McCoy and her husband Matt, Beth Owens and her husband Steve, and John Kolodziej all of Benton, IL;
FIVE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Paul Kolodziej, and John T. Kolodziej, two brothers, Theodore and Ladislaus Mackiewicz, and two sisters, Theresa and Celia Mackiewicz.

Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 12:00 Noon in the Church of St. Peter by Rev. John Burnette. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 – 12:00 Noon at the Church of St. Peter. Memorials are suggested to Quincy Notre Dame High School. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
