Lucille Ann Welchert

Lucille Ann Welchert, age 94, of the Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 636 Jackson, died on Thursday, January 6, 2011 in the Home. She was born on April 7, 1916 in Quincy, the daughter of Martin & Rose (Hinnekamp) Klues. She married William Welchert on July 3, 1937 in Hannibal, MO in the Immaculate Conception Church. He preceded her in death on January 22, 1992. Mrs. Welchert worked for the Quincy Supply Co for 20 years, retiring in 1978. She was a long time member of Blessed Sacrament Church. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Altar Society and enjoyed bowling until the age of 86.

Lucille is survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Susan Ohnemus and her husband David of Quincy and William Welchert II and his wife Sharon also of Quincy.
FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Candi Kurk and her husband Larry; Krisann Loos and her husband Steven, Jodi Bergeron and her husband Brad and Bill Welchert and his wife Rebecca.
9 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN
ONE BROTHER: Roy Klues and his wife Verda and
ONE SISTER: Ruth Holtman
Along with nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Wilbur Klues and Cletus Klues and a sister Grace Luhrs.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11:00 in Blessed Sacrament Church by Msgr. Michael Kuse. Interment in St. Boniface Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM until 11:00 at Blessed Sacrament Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament School.
