Louis “Dick” Davis
Louis “Dick” Davis, age 74, of Hull, IL died on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 11:00 PM in his home. Dick was born August 6, 1942 in Hull, a son of Howard and Maxine E. (Saxbury) Davis. He married Donna K. Patterson on September 13, 1968 in Hannibal, MO, and she survives.
Dick was a co-owner of Hull Lumber Company, retiring in 1995. He was a graduate of West Pike High School. He attended a year of barber school and then served two years in the U.S. Army from 1964-1966.
Dick had attended the Crossing at 48th Street in Quincy. He was a member of the N.R.A. Dick was an outdoorsman who loved to go deer hunting, and going to fish fry’s in the country with his friends. He was an exceptional cook. He also liked visiting on his front porch with his neighbor and friend, Jim Reed.
In addition to his wife Donna, survivors include his children, Brad (Carrie) Bareis; Mike Bareis all of Hull, IL; Tracy Thomure, Brandi (Trey) Morgan all of Hannibal and Kerri (Brent) Henderson of Quincy, IL; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Larry “Tom” Davis.
Private family services are planned. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials are suggested to The Crossing at 48th Street, Quincy, IL. Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Dick was one of my 1st bosses I ever had as a kid and he was a great man. He will be missed.
