Lori Lynn Metcalf
Lori Lynn Metcalf, age 49, of Naperville, IL, died on Saturday, December 29, 2012. She was a daughter of Richard Wayne & Dolores Jean Schoonover. She married David Metcalf. He survives.
Lori Lynn was nominated for Director of Nursing for the State of Illinois for two years and loved being an LPN for twenty-one years.
In addition to her husband, David, and parents, she is survived by her children, David Davis, Jeremy Davis and Jessica Davis; sisters, Kathy McAllister and Nancy (Don) Grant; 4 grandchildren; 11 nieces and nephews; and 3 sister-in-laws. She is also survived by many friends and her beloved pets, Swayze & Gizmo. She will be missed by many of her patients.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. There will be a private interment at a later date. Visitation will be held on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Fl., New York, NY 10001 or to the American Cancer Society, 1801 S. Meyers Rd., Ste. 100, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181.
I can remember every Christmas at Grama Hayes house, we girls would all get under the table a play for hours. although we have grown up and moved away, my heart is full of all our memories… I will miss you sooo much. I am so sorry to hear of Lori’s passing. I used to work with her a long time ago and always remember she was a lot of fun and had a great smile. My condolences to the family.
