Loretta E. Lovelace
Loretta E. Lovelace age 93, of 1728 Maple St. Quincy, died on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 3:20 a.m. in Sunset Home. Loretta was born January 2, 1918 in Columbus, IL, a daughter of Floyd and Lou (Rutledge) Tilton. She married Wilbur Lehner on July 30, 1938 and he preceded her in death on February 17, 1952. She married Elmer Lovelace on June 14, 1972 and he died October 15 1988.
Loretta retired from Pepsi Co. in 1983 after working as a payroll accountant there and in other local offices.
She was a 1936 graduate of Maplewood High School in Camp Point, IL.
She had been a member of the Columbus Christian Church.
Survivors include her son, Max R. Lehner and his wife Sandra of Denison, TX; and daughter, Janet “Sally” L. Ballard and her husband Daryl of Quincy;
Grandchildren: John (Paula) Lehner, Mike (Terri) Lehner and Don Lehner all of Texas; Tony Ballard, Bill ( Mary Ann) Ballard and Daryl (Angie) Ballard, Jr. all of Quincy;
Great grandchildren: Kayla, Jake, Matt, Chase and Christian Lehner all of Texas;
Alisha, Mitchell and Logan Ballard all of Quincy. Step-Great Grandchildren, Ashley and Christopher Robertson and a step-great-great grand daughter, Adelyn Weber all of Quincy;
A sister, Grace Carroll of Quincy; a brother-in-law, James Lehner of Pekin, IL and a sister in-law, Rosene Lehner of Quincy, nieces and nephews, Bona Abell, Mark and David Barlow and Ted Lehner also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, two sisters, Ruth Northrup and Norma Lea Hanke and a great-great grand daughter, Emily Ballard.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Henry Pratt.
Interment will be in Quincy Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Duker & Haugh.
