Lois Katherine Maday
Lois Katherine Maday, age 87, of Quincy, died on Sunday, February 20, 2022 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on July 27, 1934, a daughter of Leo and Sarah “Sadie” (Tolliver) Salawater. She married Carl L. Maday on August 1, 1955. He preceded her in death on January 20, 2007.
Lois had been employed as a teacher in the Ashland, WI school system and as a medical stenographer in Madison, WI. She was also a volunteer in various military hospitals for the Red Cross, Lois was a homemaker at the time of her death.
She is survived by her children: Carl L. Maday, Steven Maday and Cleo Lamb; a brother, Donald Salawater; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Leo and Doug Salawater, sisters, Grace Schmidt, Judy Pospychalla, Bernadine Roguski and Penny Williams.
Private family services will be held. There is no visitation.
Many fond memories as the mother of a friend. Clearly intelligent and quick witted, enjoyed spending time with her.

My mother got to know Lois from the Arbors. I too visited with her many times as my mother resides in the same building
