Lois Jean Doyle
Lois Jean Doyle, age 68, of 3000 Kingsridge Dr., Quincy, died on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 7:50 a.m. in her home. She was born on September 12, 1941 in Keokuk, Iowa, a daughter of Everett & Mary Kathryn (Thornton) Wollbrink. She married Harold Doyle on December 22, 1961 in the home of her parents in Sutter, Illinois and he survives.
She was a 1959 graduate of Warsaw High School and a graduate of Gem City College. Lois worked as a Clerk for the Norfolk Southern Railroad for forty years before her retirement in 2002.
She enjoyed ceramics, making quilts, and reading.

Her MOTHER: Mary Kathryn Wollbrink of Sutter, IL;
TWO CHILDREN: Tamara Sheehan & her husband Dale, Jr., of Mendon, IL;
Dennis Doyle and his wife Nancy of Plainfield, IL;
FIVE GRANDCHILDREN: Kari Vradenburg and her husband Adam of Quincy, Kali Sheehan of Mendon, Sean Doyle, & Taylor and Lane Doyle of Plainfield, IL;
TWO BROTHERS: Kenneth “Kenny” Wollbrink of St. Peters, MO, and Kent “John” Wollbrink and his wife Nan of Macomb, IL.
Several aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews & cousins also survive.
Lois was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Windell Piercy. Interment will be in Quincy Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the donor’s choice.

Lois and I had some good times in school, she was a good friend.
So sorry to hear of Lois’ passing. She was a really nice person that I remember well from high school. Our prayers go out to her family and friends.
