Lisa was born in Quincy on August 24, 1961, to Darlene J. (Griffin) Shelton and James E. Shelton.

She had a loving and nurturing heart and found her true calling as a private caregiver. Lisa spent much of her life caring for people and always making sure everyone around her was taken care of. She had a love for all people, old and young. She always wanted to help anyone in any way she could, even if she didn’t have much. She loved children and was the best playmate. She loved her family and friends dearly. She loved to cook and keep a clean house. She loved rock music and anything she claimed was good for the soul. She loved a warm cup of coffee or an ice cold Coca Cola. Her legacy will live on through all of those who loved her and knew her. She leaves behind four precious jewels, her grandchildren. Her grandchildren Tyler, Alivia, Gage, and Colt were the light of her life. She also loved her children Josh and Ashlan fervently and lived her life for them and always wanted them happy and taken care of.

Survivors include her mom, Darlene Shelton of Martin, TN; her children, Josh Shelton of Quincy, Ashlan Kate Shelton and her fiancé Tyler Leach of Edwards, MS. Grandchildren, Joshua Tyler (Kayla) Shelton; Alivia Shelton; Gage Blaylock; and Thomas Colt Leach.
