Linda Thompson

Linda K. Thompson, age 72, of the Good Samaritan Home, died on Friday, December 30, 2016 in the Home. She was born on February 12, 1944 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Albert Frank & June Elouise (Moody) Miller.

Linda did a little bit of everything through the years. She was a homemaker, she worked in banking, the theatre, she was a groomer and also had worked in healthcare.

Linda enjoyed her gardening, fishing and dancing. She was also a very talented artist.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of the Foose Center and Good Samaritan Home for the wonderful care given to Linda.

Linda is survived by:
THREE DAUGHTERS: Michelle Thompson and her partner Karen Callahan of North Charleston, SC; Brigitta Newman and her husband Steve of Nashville, TN: and Amy Thompson of Quincy
FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: John Stoddart and his wife Megan, Marty Owsley, Dustin Owsley and his significant other Kimberly Alcorn and Tony Owsley.
4 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN, a BROTHER: Kenneth Miller and his wife Laura, along with nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation rites have been accorded. No formal services are planned at this time. Memorials may be made to the Foose Center at the Good Samaritan Home. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. www.dukerandhaugh.com

    Gary grew up in the same neighborhood as Linda and Kenny. Had not seen Linda in years until seeing her at Foose when visiting my mom, Jean Hamann. She always would come up to Gary and say I know you, by name. Last year, not so much. She was a sweetheart. So very sorry for your loss.
