Linda Kay Strader

Linda Kay Strader, age 66, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 9:10 p.m. in Blessing Hospital after a long battle with cancer. She was born on June 28, 1947 in Quincy, a daughter of Kenneth & Dorothy (Sheer) Strader.

Linda was a 1965 graduate of Quincy High School. She was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed time spent gardening and shopping.

Survivors include a daughter, Gina Strader of Quincy; cousins, Deb Morrison of Quincy and Barbara Rineburg of Port St. Lucie, FL; and a close friend, Robin Warford of Quincy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two uncles, Kenneth Sheer and his wife Ruthie and Walter Sheer and his wife Marietta.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Private services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. www.dukerandhaugh.com

    Gena! OMG! I didn’t even know she was sick! What a beautiful soul she was! My dad always said me & her were like sisters! I love her and the big part she played in my life! Look out-they are together again!!! Love you! All my prayers, I will truly miss my sister!! Tony’s daughter, carol
