Linda K. Dennis, age 52, of 527 Broadway, Quincy, died on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 1:03 a.m. in Blessing Hospital. She was born on September 29, 1961 in Beardstown, IL, a daughter of George Cleveland & Lois Ellyn (Clark) Dennis Stinson.

Linda was a graduate of Brown County High School. She was a healthcare provider for Bridgeway in Macomb, IL. She was a member of the Salvation Army here in Quincy and had also been a member of the Macomb Salvation Army.

She was particularly fond of her beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews as well as her cat, Heidi. Linda was known to be cheerful, always with a positive attitude. She had a smile for all in spite of the adversity she had in her life.

She is survived by her mother, Lois Ellyn Stinson and her husband Francis of El Mirage, AZ; her siblings, Debbie Blackledge and her husband Jerry, Sr. of Quincy, George Glenn Dennis and his wife Connie of Rockford, IL; Doug Dennis and his wife Tamara of Peoria, AZ and Rich Dennis of Bardolph, IL; 6 nieces and nephews, Kari (Travis) Shull of Quincy, Mandy (fiance, Jesse) Dennis of Roanoke, VA, Brandon (Diana) Dennis of Phoenix, AZ and Maddie (Ben) Walker of Seattle, WA; Chance Dennis of Macomb, IL, & Logan Dennis also of Macomb, IL. 8 great-nieces & nephews, 2 great-great nieces & nephews; uncles Jim (Margaret) Dennis of Warsaw, IL, Ted (Linda) Dennis of Freeburg, IL, Ron (Beth) Atkins of Winnebago, IL; Jim Atkins from Beloit, WI; and one aunt, Linda Sheets of Lewistown, IL. Numerous cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her dad, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Marfan Syndrome Association or the Quincy Humane Society.
