Linda Ann Lee, age 71, of 3012 Lincoln Hill SE, Quincy, died on Thursday, July 17, 2014 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on February 25, 1943 in Jacksonville, IL, a daughter of Charles & Martha (Draughn) Gaines. She married Frederick H. Lee on June 3, 1978 in Boston, MA. He survives.

Linda was a graduate of Jacksonville High School and attended both MacMurray & Illinois College in Jacksonville.

She and her husband own and operate Gem City Coin & Supply in Quincy, where Linda performed the secretarial, bookkeeping and Ebay commerce duties for the business.

She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church.

Linda enjoyed researching her family genealogy. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

In addition to her husband, Fred, she is survived by children, Eric Lee and his fiancee’ Kerry Mayfield of Quincy, Gregory L. Lee and Valerie A. Shirkey both of Jacksonville, IL; grandchildren: Corbin Lee of Quincy and Autumn, Joshua, Jeremy, Heather, Ashley, Michelle and Krystal; and a brother Donald F. Gaines of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation rites have been accorded. No services are planned at this time. Memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
