Lillian Fanos

Lillian Fanos, age 90, of Bickford Cottages, Quincy, formerly of Naples, FL, died on Saturday, August 27, 2016 in her home. She was born on October 3, 1925 in Quincy, a daughter of Edward & Helen (Berblinger) Bosse. She married John C. Bauner, Jr. on May 25, 1946 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1957. She later married Ted J. Fanos on March 17, 1962 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2007.

Over the years Lil enjoyed boating, sewing, playing bridge and reading. This past year having lunch and shopping with her special friend, Kathy Moore, was a favorite activity.

She was of the Catholic faith.

She is survived by:
TWO DAUGHTERS, Sue Dulaney of Quincy and Jane Floyd of Snowmass Village, CO;
THREE GRANDCHILDREN, Scott (Angela) Dean, Sean (Som) Dean, all of Quincy and Liz Floyd (fiancée Tim Gustafson) of Carbondale, CO;
SIX GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN, Tyler, Conner, Logan and Bailey Dean Auston & Amaya Weise, all of Quincy;
THREE SISTERS-IN-LAW, Alvera Bosse of Quincy, Catherine Elam of Lompoc, CA and Ruth Bauner of Carbondale, IL.

In addition to her husbands and her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Jack Bosse and Milton Sohn and a sister, Edie Fischer.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on that day beginning at 12:00 noon until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials to Blessing Foundation for Hospice in her memory would be appreciated. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

    My family and I are so sorry to hear of your lose. Lillian will be remembered by many . Please never forget our heavenly father does love us and everything he has told us has and will come true especially regarding the hope of seeing our loved ones again , John 5:28,29 and at that time death and pain will be no more, Rev. 21:3,4 my family and I would like to give our deepest sympathy and condolences at this most difficult time.
