Lewis L. Preston, age 81, of Quincy, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. in Sunset Home, Quincy, IL. He was born on January 25, 1942, in Pike County, IL, the son of Claude and Nellie Stewart Preston.

Mr. Preston worked for many years delivering for the Pepsi Bottling Co. He enjoyed watching barges on the Mississippi and was a Cardinals baseball fan. He loved angel food cakes from Underbrinks and coconut cream pie from Maid Rite and Sprout’s Inn.

Lewis is survived by two sisters; N. Nadine Preston of Quincy and Donna S. (Craig) Wood of Kirkwood, MO; seven nieces and two nephews and many great nieces and great nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, D. Dwain Preston and Ronald S. Preston, both of Quincy; as well as two sisters-in-law, Regina A. Preston and Dorothy M. Preston, both of Quincy.

Visitation will be held from 1 PM to 2 PM Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Duker and Haugh Funeral Home, with graveside services immediately following at Quincy Memorial Park.
