Leslie “Les” Duesterhaus
Leslie “Les” Duesterhaus, age 71, of 336 W Fairway Dr., died on Monday, December 4, 2017 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on January 11, 1946 in Quincy, the son of Paul & Marie (Friye) Duesterhaus. Les was the President of Duesterhaus Fertilizer, Inc. until his retirement in 2001. Les valued all of the relationships he built over the years. Clients became close friends, and those friendships continued until this day. He greatly enjoyed the many trips he coordinated for customers, friends, and family. These trips created a lifetime of memories for everyone who was able to take part. People today still talk about the trips from Quincy to Laughlin, Nevada.
Les really enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He loved to talk about sports, especially football. He was proud of his playing days at Christian Brothers, and was a proud supporter of Quincy Notre Dame Athletics. Les was extremely proud to follow his sons and their dedication and involvement with the QND Football Program.
The family would like to thank the staff, nurses, and doctors of Timber Point Healthcare Center and Blessing Hospital for their care for Les.
In addition to his wife, Les is also survived by two children, Chad Duesterhaus of Quincy, and Cory Duesterhaus and his wife Jennifer of Quincy.

Please accept our condolences on the passing of Les. Les was a valued member of our CB/ND class of ‘64. He will be remembered by his classmates and as a respected member of our 1964 football team.
We regret not being present at Les’ services since we are visiting our daughter in New Hampshire.
May God bless all of you in your loss.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. Les was a good classmate from ‘64 and was a true joy to be around. He and Beaver are talking football now! Peace to you.
Ceil, Chad, Cory, and Jennifer:
It is with a heavy heart that I heard the news of Les’ passing. What a great man and supporter of me, and more important all of you, he was. I will pray that HE gives you the strength you need in the days ahead and that HE will fill your hearts and memories with only the great times you spent with your husband, father, and father-in-law. He was a great man and will be missed by all. God Bless.
Lonny
