Leroy Paul Lentz

Leroy Paul Lentz age 67, formerly of Liberty, IL died on Monday, May 16, 2022 in Timber Point Healthcare Center in Camp Point, IL. Leroy was born in Quincy on June 30, 1954, a son of Herbert N. and Mildred E. (Meyer) Lentz.

From a young age Leroy had worked on the family farm helping his dad, he went on to work at PepsiCo in Quincy and later at the Transitions workshop.

He was a graduate of Liberty High School.

Leroy was a member of St. Brigid Church. He enjoyed woodworking and crafts.

Survivors include his brother and sisters, Leon Lentz and his wife Kay, Lorrie Klauser and her husband Eugene and Lois Knuffman and her husband Richard all of Liberty.

Nieces and Nephews: Michelle Girardin and her husband Mitchell; Susan Lefringhouse and her husband Spencer; Michael Lentz and his fiancée Jennifer Bradbury; Kris Barry and her husband Rick; Kelly Obert and her husband Bobby; Gene Klauser, Jr, and his wife Cheryl; Sara Obert and her husband Glenn; Kevin Klauser and his wife Dallas; Tammy Negrillo and her husband Del; Lance Klauser and his significant other Renee Volk; Annette Lipcaman and her husband Aaron; Jill Charlton and her husband Jacob; Brad Klauser and his wife Regan; Bryan Knuffman and his wife Lisa; Daran Knuffman and his wife Krista; Tara Frank and her husband Steve; Kara Knuffman and Josh Knuffman.

Aunts and Uncles, Jerry Meyer and his wife Rosie of Quincy and Mary Billeter and her husband Dale of Fowler, IL. Many great nieces and nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and aunts and uncles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Brigid Catholic Church with Rev. Scott Snider officiating. Interment will be in St. Brigid Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to Transitions or for Masses in his memory at St. Brigid Church.
