LEROY JOSEPH KROEGER, SR. OBITUARY

Leroy Joseph Kroeger, Sr., age 91, of Timberpoint Health Care Center, formerly of 616 Elm Street, Quincy, died on Monday, February 25, 2008 in the Center. He was born on March 12, 1916 in Quincy, Illinois. He was a son of George S. and Anna (Burken) Kroeger. He married Lois P. Kroeger on April 22, 1939 in Palmyra, Missouri. She died on January 17, 1994.

Leroy was of the Catholic faith.

He worked as a papermaker at Celotex from 1943 until his retirement in 1982.

Survivors include:
CHILDREN: William A. Russell and his wife Alice, Robert L. Kroeger, Leroy J. Kroeger, Jr. and his wife Rita, Jeanette Sheehan and her husband Gale, Kathleen Kennedy and Laird A. Kroeger and his wife Elana all of Quincy.
A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sons Donald J. Russell and Scott Raymond Kroeger, and three brothers George, Jr., Robert, Frank, Albert and Raymond Kroeger.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Roy Bauer. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Timberpoint Health Care Center.
