Both of us worked for many years with Leona at the State Street Store and knew what a wonderful woman Leona was. She was always upbeat, kind, and friendly. She never let the day’s frustrations get to her. We also both worked with her daughter Carol Chandler, who is also sadly missed. It’s nice to think they are reunited in heaven. Rest in peace, Leona.
Leona was so strong and kind. She was an inspiration to everybody who was fortunate to spend time with her. She welcomed me into the family and will be missed dearly.
Dean & all Of Leona’s family: I’m sorry about your loss. I too spent many hours with Carol and Dave at the home on Oak Street. What a wonderful family.
Alan,
I was saddened to read in today’s paper of your mother’s passing. I still remember the breakfast you and I shared with our mothers at the CBHS Mother & Son Breakfast back in high school 54 years ago. It’s hard to lose your mother even when you know it’s coming. I lost mine 23 years ago. Though ill health and disability prevents me from getting out much anymore, please know that you and your families are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Marty, Sue, Mark, Selena, Shaun and families
So sorry to hear of Leona’s passing, will miss seeing her at church on Sunday’s always smiling!
