Lawrence “Larry” Stambaugh
Lawrence “Larry” Stambaugh, Jr., age 69, of 2011 Harrison St., died on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 in his home. He was born on March 8, 1947 in Hannibal, MO the son of Lawrence and Oneta (Kitson) Stambaugh. Mr. Stambaugh was a bartender and worked at Jimbo’s Tap for over 30 years. He was of the Christian Faith.
Mr. Stambaugh was an avid fan of Elvis and Elvis Collectibles. He also enjoyed gambling and fishing and was always an ‘innocent shy country boy’
He is survived by:
FIVE CHILDREN: Lucinda ‘Cindy’ ( Mark Massingill) Smith, Lisa (Kevin) Massingill; Michael Lee Stambaugh; Lawrence Stambaugh III, and April (Matt) Montgomery all of Quincy.
SEVENTEEN GRANDCHILDREN: David (Kim) Smith, Mark (Courtney) Smith, Jamie (Travis) Massingill, Jessi (Aaron) Massingill Baldwin, Jordan Massingill, Jared Massingill, Lakin (Kartney) Smith, Tikki Rudicil, CJ Rudicil, Cheyenne Stambaugh, Sunny Allen, Samantha Stambaugh, Janie (Everett) McGraw, Mackenzie Montgomery, Joey Montgomery, Owen Montgomery, and Jersey Montgomery.
SPECIAL FRIENDS: Vonnie Tucker, Jaclyn Durdle, and Lynette Lacy.
Numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives also survive.
Mr. Stambaugh was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Amanda Stambaugh Snyder, a brother: Howard Lee Stambaugh, Sr., Sister: Ethel Stambuagh, a daughter-in-law: Susan Stambaugh, and a son-in-law: David W. Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. His five children and their significant others will be serving as his pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Monday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the services on Monday. Memorials may be made to the Family.
I knew Larry for over 30 years, and he truly will be missed by so many… My deepest sympathies to the entire family…
