Laura Tournear

Laura “Auntie” Tournear, age 50, of Quincy, died on Monday, January 1, 2018 in her home. She was born on March 13, 1967 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Albert & Pat (Zanger) Earnst. She married Marlon Gene Tournear.

Laura was a graduate of Payson Seymour High School and had worked as a CNA. She was of the Catholic Faith. She enjoyed Bingo and reading. Her greatest love was her family and spending her time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Cory M. Earnst, Kaylamarie R. Tournear, and Ronald A. Tournear.
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Paislee Gordon; Kaceson McGlaughlin and Karson McGlaughlin.
TWO BROTHERS: Ricky Earnst and his wife Marla and Jeff Earnst and his wife Kim.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

    Laura and I were friends in high school. She got us our first real jobs working in a group home in Hannibal. If if were not for this, I would not have my career. I will always remember her smile and laugh. I am very thankful to have known her.
