Laura M. Klossing

Laura M. Klossing, age 66, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, formerly of Quincy, IL died on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 in the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on October 24, 1944 in Quincy, the daughter of Benjamin and Gertrude (Tuttle) McQueen. She married Gene A. Klossing on June 16, 1962 in Palmyra, MO. He survives.

Laura was a member of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed making crafts, crocheting, & quilting.
Laura also loved being with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Klossing is also survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Charlotte Klossing of Quincy, Brenda Klossing of Pocahontas, AR, and Gene “Sonny” Klossing and his wife Kathy of Kankakee, IL
FIVE GRANDCHILDREN: Crystal Galik and her husband Josh Kissinger, John Klossing, Cherish Klossing, Joshua Klossing, and Jakob Klossing.
TWO GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Aiyana and Lily.
THREE BROTHERS: Ray Tuttle and his companion Jeannie Willson, Donald McQueen, and Richard McQueen
TWO SISTERS: Helen Griffin and Carol Watson.
Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson AJ Galik, and a sister, Shirley Kinard.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 12:00 noon in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in New Providence Cemetery in Ursa, IL. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
