Laura Abbey
Laura Abbey, age 70, of Quincy, died on Thursday, November 14, 2019 in her home. She was born on December 21, 1948 in Quincy, daughter of James Bias, Sr. and Mildred (Holley) Bias. Laura married Lewis Bassett, Sr. and later married Richard Abbey, Sr.
Laura is survived by her siblings: Otis (Heidi) Bias, Sr., Bruce Bias, Sr. (close friend, Brenda French), Darlene Bias and Bonnie Orange; children: Larvetta Bassett, Richelle Bias, Shameka Bias, Richard Bias, Antwyon Bias and Michael Bassett. Numerous nieces, nephews, grandkids and great-grandkids also survive.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Bias; brothers, James Bias, Jr. and Vernon Bias; her husband, Richard Abbey, Sr.; a son, Lewis Bassett, Jr.; a daughter, Latasha Bias; and three grandkids: LaTrell, LaDavion and Lewis III Bassett.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in Greenmount Cemetery. There is no visitation, but friends are invited to the graveside services. Funeral arrangements are with the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.

RIH Laura you were such an amazing women a mother sister grandma wife aunt and a special friend that had a heart of gold. You will always be missed but never forgotton. My prayers to all the family and friends.

God called this angel home ill miss my good friend but know shes no longer suffering will say bye for now but i know one day ill see you again rih laura god keep her family safe and show them the way to get through their loss
