Larry Wottman

Larry Wottman, age 82, of Quincy, died on Monday, September 30, 2024 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on September 21, 1942 in Quincy, Illinois the son of Donald Herman and Agnes (Westhaus) Wottman. He married Vivian Olker on October 22, 1966. She preceded him in death on October 24, 2012. Larry served in the United States during the Vietnam War.

Larry worked at Kroger Grocery Store, the Electric Wheel, and had been an insurance agent, and most recently worked at the US Post Office. Larry enjoyed trips to the casino, playing golf and cards. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Peter Catholic Church.

Larry is survived by:
ONE BROTHER: Dean Wottman of Quincy.
BROTHER-IN-LAW: Bill Mendell.
NIECES: Toni Mattingly and her husband Carl; Kris Osborne; Sharon Frame and her husband Louie; Linda Amburn and her husband Terry, Amy Weidner and her husband Grant, and Denise Wottman Spears.

In addition to his wife, Larry was also preceded in death by his parents, a sister Shirley Wottman, a brother Mike Wottman, Sisters-in-Law; Annette Wottman, Yvonne Lohman along with her husband Bill, Shirley Mendell, and a brother-in-law: Ronald Olker. A nephew John Wottman along with his wife Samantha and a niece Cathy Lohman.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 11:00 Am at St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #37 and the National Guard Honor Detail. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 Am until the time of the Mass at 11:00 AM. Memorials may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church or to the Illinois Veterans Home Activities Fund. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
