Larry J. “Fogo” Hiland

Larry J. “Fogo” Hiland, age 66, of 514 West Turtle Lake Road, died on November 29, 2014 in Westmont, IL. He was born on March 11, 1948 in Quincy, the son of Earl ‘Jack’ Hiland and Betty Hiland Gille. He married Ginny Brown in 1968. Mr. Hiland was a Union Laborer.

Fogo loved to duck hunt and to fish. He also liked to go to the Casino. In his earlier years, he enjoyed playing in the local softball leagues and was an avid bowler.

He is survived by:
ONE DAUGHER: Kelle Hiland and her significant other Jaime Platt of Quincy
TWO GRANDCHILDREN: Halee Turnbaugh (Deante) and Joshua Turnbaugh and his significant other Mandy Nutt.
SIBLINGS: Ray Hiland and his wife Pamela, Jackie Hiland, Jerry Gille, Marcia (Gille) Lewis and her husband Harry, Sharon (Hiland) Howerton and her significant other Terry Stephens, Roger D. Gille and his significant other Emily, Alan F. Gille, and Cheryl A. Gille and her significant other Jerry.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 1:30 PM in Quincy Memorial Park. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside services. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
