Larry Gene Boden

Larry Gene Boden age 59, of Quincy died on Friday, December 7, 2018 in the Emergency Room of Blessing Hospital. Larry was born in Quincy on February 23, 1959, a son of Chester and Joan (Spilker) Boden.

Larry was a truck driver for McNay Trucking Co. and had formerly worked at Colt Industries and Chester Bross Construction. He was a 1977 graduate of Quincy High School. Larry was of the Catholic faith.

In April of 2013, he was proud to have accompanied his Dad, Chester, as his guardian on the Honor Flight. Larry loved and spoiled the kids in his family and had played Santa Claus for them several times. He was a really good cook with a talent for smoking meats. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan, and his other pastimes were fishing, hunting and bowling.

Survivors include his CHILDREN: Bryan Boden; Alexandria Leonard; Samantha Reed and Leeza Platt. Nine GRANDCHILDREN;
BROTHERS and SISTERS: Jerry Boden and his wife Pamela, Roger Boden and his significant other Michelle, Bobby Boden and his wife Stephanie all of Quincy; Margaret Stump and her husband Marion, Kathy Schneider, Debora Helmers and Tina Henaifesh and her husband Nasser all of Quincy. Sister-in-Law: Vicki Boden.

Numerous nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews and 1 great-great nephew and 1 great-great niece also survive.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Brad C. Boden.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.

The family asks that you wear your favorite baseball team shirt to the visitation.
