A then-Chicago resident, I annually spent some summer time as a kid with cousin Larry and his brothers on his father’s Henry, Ill., farm. As a kid, Larry was laid-back and cheerful. Saw him only a few times since then. The last time was several years ago at an Engelbrecht family event near Henry. He seemed like the same delightful guy.

    Dear Margaret,
I am a first cousin of Larry and always spent a portion of my childhood summers with him and his family. I will remember the smile he always had on his face and his welcoming manner. My condolences to you and your family. May he rest in peace.
