Lane B. Henderson, age 78, of the St. Vincent Home, formerly of 2124 North Wilmar Drive, died on Sunday, July 6, 2008 in the Home. Lane was born on August 1, 1929 in Shelbina, MO, the son of Lane B. & Mary Dale (McReynolds) Henderson. He was united in marriage on September 4, 1992 to Betty Iseminger. She survives. Lane was a graduate of Shelbina High School in 1947 and the University of Missouri in 1952. Lane was a member of the Vermont Street Methodist Church. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean war. Mr. Henderson retired from Mercantile Bank in 1995 as a Senior Vice President.
Lane was a 32nd Degree member of the Masons. He was a member of the Quincy Consistory, the Quincy Mason Chapter of the Royal Arch, the Shriners; and was a member of the High twelve of the American Legion.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by:
TWO ADOPTED DAUGHTERS: Pamela Dennis of Kansas City, MO; Annette Hill and her husband Gale of Quincy;
TWO STEP-DAUGHTERS: Debra Long and her husband Duane of Quincy; and Michelle Wright of Golden.
Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife Doris Buckman.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 11:00 Am in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Rev. Tom Waters. Interment in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4:00 Pm until 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Hello to Lane’s family. I used to work with Lane at the bank several years ago and found him to be a very enjoyable individual to be around. I am sorry for your loss. He was a good man. He is in a better place now, though, free from pain.
