Kitty Karen Conrad, age 84, of the Good Samaritan Home, died on Thursday, July 21, 2022 in the Home. She was born on May 31, 1938 in Louisiana, Missouri the daughter of William James and Kitty Ro Ann (Burbridge) Conrad.

Kitty attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Quincy and earned her RN status after graduation in 1960. She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital for 17 years. In 1977, she moved to Springfield, IL and worked at Memorial Medical Center as a surgical nurse for 23 years until her retirement in 2000. Returning to Quincy in 2006, she became a member of Madison Park Christian Church. She loved her church and found a home and family there.

She was preceded in death by her parents and other family.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Madison Park Christian Church Commons. There is no visitation, but all friends are invited to the services. Kitty asks there be no flowers. All donations may be made to the Madison Park Christian Church or to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
