Kirk Douglas Clayton

Kirk Douglas Clayton, age 49, of 3300 Locust Street, Quincy, died on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on October 9, 1961 in Rushville, Illinois, a son of Roger F. Clayton & Barbara J. (Taylor) Morse.

He was of the Christian faith. Kirk worked at Transitions.

He enjoyed fishing, bowling, & hunting (Kirk got his first deer this year). Kirk also played t-ball and basketball. He participated in Special Olympics, and had been an active member of Boy Scout Troop #25 having achieved Life Rank.

HIS MOTHER: Barbara J. Morse and her husband Michael of Camp Point, IL;
SIBLINGS: Scott Clayton and his wife Cheryl, Danita Turnbaugh and her husband Randy, Anita Edwards and her husband Lee, Jeffrey Clayton and his wife Terri all of Quincy, & Stephen Clayton and his wife Tina of Plainville, IL;
AN AUNT & UNCLE: Mary & John Brown of Indianapolis, IN;
SEVENTEEN NIECES & NEPHEWS;
TEN GREAT-NIECES & NEPHEWS & several cousins also survive.

Kirk was preceded in death by his father, Roger Clayton and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home conducted by Josh Finklea. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Boy Scout Troop #25.
