Kevin Michael McCarthy
Kevin Michael McCarthy, age 63, of Virginia, IL, died on January 6, 2023 in Chicago, IL.
He was born on March 7, 1959 in Kirksville, MO, the son of John and Patricia (Berglind) McCarthy.
Kevin was a member of the Merodosia Boat Club. He enjoyed boating and Skiing.
He is survived by:
DAUGHTER: Jessica Zanger (Todd) of Quincy
STEP-CHILDREN: Levi Blair (Theresa); Brooke Blair, Brittany Blair.
GRANDCHILDREN: Brennan, Carter and Kyra Zanger.
SIBLINGS: Mike McCarthy, Terri Wand (Dave), Kathy Munhausen (John) and Tina Mowen.
Numerous step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Cheryl Watson and a step-grandchild.
Cremation rites have been accorded. No formal services are planned at this time. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
I am so sorry on hearing about Kevin’s passing. We were very good friends with his mom and dad and knew all of you when you were very small. My prayers are with you and his family.

I was very sorry to hear about Kevin’s death. I extend my condolences to his daughter, Jessica, his siblings and his entire family. I am a first cousin of his mother, Patricia Berglind McCarthy, and remember Kevin in his young days and when he attended a Schullian family reunion several yrs. ago. May God give him eternal happiness and all of his family strength, comfort and peace. I offer my prayers for all.
