Kerry Sue Robertson

Kerry Sue Robertson, age 77, of Quincy, died on Sunday, February 12, 2023 in her home.  She was born on November 6, 1945 in Quincy, IL.

Sue worked in the housekeeping department at Sunset Home and Blessing Hospital.  Previously she had worked for Gardner Denver and Glenayre.  She had also worked as the housekeeping supervisor at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas.

Sue was of the Protestant Faith.  Her faithful and beloved dog, Rex, always stayed by her side.

Sue is survived by:

THREE CHILDREN: Ronald Michael Altheide, Kerry Vallee (Jeremy) and Kimberly Sue Robertson.

GRANDCHILDREN: Searia Altheide and Rachelle Altheide; Dezeray Garland, Gary Bailey, Jr., Kerrington Bailey, Erika Reynolds (Kyle); Eli Bridges, Ava Bridges, and Naomi

Robertson.

GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Javarus Garland, Ahniya Humphrey, Marcus Moore, Dezmon Moore, Kinsley Reynolds, Skyler Williams, Aries Mefford, Aryana Mefford, Kayden Nelson.

The family also wishes to give a very special thank you to cousins Debbie Otten and Betty Inman for always being a phone call away and always checking on Sue when she was on Hospice.  Also her best friends Amanda and Janet Peoples for being by her side when Sue gained her wings.  As Sue would always say, ‘I LOVE YOU WHOLE BUNCHES!!!’

Preceded in death by her mother Lena Mary Kattelmann Vollbracht along with her husband Dale Vollbracht,  a son Timothy Robertson and all of her siblings.

Cremation rites have been accorded and no formal services are planned at this time.  The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
