Kent Patrick Humphrey
Kent Patrick Humphrey, age 60, of Quincy, died on Saturday, November 12, 2022 in St. John Hospital, Springfield, IL. He was born on August 27, 1962, in Quincy, the son of Howard F. and Mary E. (Rakers) Humphrey.
Kent attended Quincy Notre Dame and graduated from Quincy High School in 1982. He was a very good athlete, excelling in football and basketball. He was a talented artist. Kent also enjoyed collecting rocks, and looking for arrowheads and fossils.
Most recently, he had worked as bartender for his mother at the Firehouse.
He is survived by his mother, Mary, two children: Baylee Joe Page and Braden Howard Kendrick; two brothers: Kerry and Kevin Humphrey all of Quincy and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Kent was preceded by his father, Howard, brother, Kurt, maternal grandparents, Louis and Catherine Rakers, paternal grandparents, Howard and Virginia Humphrey and aunt, Nancy Christensen.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022
at 9:30 a.m. in Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.
Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Mary Humphrey for the children’s education fund, St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church or donor’s choice.

So very sorry to hear of Kent’s passing. He was a talented athlete. Like many QND raiders I have lots of memories of Kent
on the football field and basketball court. Thinking of you all and Kent and sending prayers of peace and comfort.
