Kent F. Wellman
Kent F. Wellman, age 52, of Quincy, died on Thursday, July 22, 2021 in his home, after a 2 year battle with stomach cancer. He was born on June 22, 1969 in Quincy, the son of William ‘Bill’ and Mary Lou (Mock) Wellman. Kent was a graduate of Quincy Notre Dame. He was a devoted member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Kent made a living as a painter and drywaller for 27 years. He most recently worked for the best painting company in town, Johnson Painting and Decorating.
Kent enjoyed rock hunting and collecting. He liked 4-wheeling and taking on projects at the farm. He loved spending time with his family and his dog ‘Pooch’. His special job through the years was taking care of his mom and dad.

SIBLINGS: Robert (Angie) Wellman of Quincy; Cheryl (Scott) Atwood of Van Horne, IA; Mike Wellman of Quincy; Gary (Kristi) Wellman of Tipp City, OH; Peggy (Cliff) DeVerger
of Quincy.
Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.
Kent was preceded in death by his mother.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the Blessing Hospice staff, especially Matt, Joanne, and Trista for the wonderful care they gave Kent.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 9:45 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to the St. Anthony Building and Grounds Fund. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Memories are from way back during the years of Jack’s Discount, but many great memories of Kent. We are so sorry to hear of his passing and will keep you all in our prayers.
