Kenneth M. McDermott, age 68, of the Lincoln Douglas Apartments, died on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 in his home. He was born on December 23, 1940 in Denver, CO, the son of John & Edith Marie (Logan) McDermott. He married Denise Berg. Mr. McDermott was a carpenter in the Denver area. He was of the Catholic Faith. Ken loved fishing, hunting and camping. He also greatly loved socializing with his friends.

He is survived by:
FOUR CHILDREN: Brad McDermott and his wife Tracey; David McDermott and his wife Teresa; Shane McDermott and his wife Jennie and Brandy Rogers and her husband Mark.
SIX GRANDCHILDREN: Dylan McDermott, Bradley McDermott, Paul McDermott, Breanna McDermott; Joshua McDermott and Christopher McDermott.

TWO SISTERS: Violet Talarico and Opal Hack also survive.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, and four sisters: Mary Donna, Marjorie and Anna.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 Am until the time of the services. Memorials may be made to the Quincy Catholic Charities.
