Kennard R. Allensworth, Sr., age 78, of 305 Royal Oaks Ave, Quincy, was called home on July 11, 2014. He was born on January 13, 1936 in Adams County, the son of Reuben and Myrtle (Hughes) Allensworth. He lived in the Liberty area most of his life. He married Sandra (Platt) Sisk on May 22, 1988. She survives. Mr. Allensworth retired from Knapheide Manufacturing where he had worked for 26 years. He was a member of the Liberty Christian Church.

In addition to his wife Sandy, Kennard is also survived by:
CHILDREN: Verlenna Sisk, Michelle Sisk, Samantha Watkins, Gage Sisk, Kennard Allensworth, Jr., and Sherry Smith.
GRANDCHILDREN INCLUDING: Trista Sisk, Tiffany Sisk, Brianna Sorrill, Jordan Sorrill, Anthony Sisk, Bryce Fredericks, Kruse Allensworth, Summer Allensworth and Shawn Rowsey.
GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Makiya Sisk and Addison Sisk.
TWO SISTERS: June Bugg and Darlene Brown.
Numerous other relatives including grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Kennard was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, and two sisters: Millie Tournear and Wilma Uppinghouse, a brother Ray Allensworth and a step-son Bill Rowsey.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Xander Cemetery in Liberty, IL. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 until the time of the services at 11:00 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Blessing Cancer Center.
