OBITUARY ON KAY ANN VENVERTLOH
Kay Ann ‘Gert’ Venvertloh, age 69, of 3007 Spring Lake RD, died on Thursday, September 9, 2010 in her home. She was born on July 29, 1941 in Quincy, the daughter of Leonard & Marcella (Gerding) Nauert. She married Frank Venvertloh on Feburary 6, 1960 at St. Mary Catholic Church. He survives. Kay was the office manager for Schmiedeskamp, Robertson, Neu and Mitchell from 1969 until her retirement in 2003. She was a graduate of both St. Mary Grade School and Notre Dame High School. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies of St. Francis. Kay enjoyed traveling, gardening and needlework.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Jim Venvertloh and his wife Kathy of Naples, FL, Mark Venvertloh and his wife Geralyn of Poway, CA, & Mike Venvertloh and his wife Tina of Quincy.
SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN: Riley, Rhegan, Kaitlyn, Emily, Olivia, Carley & Alex Venvertloh.
Mrs. Venvertloh was preceded in death by her parents, a son Alan Venvertloh, 3 brothers in infancy, a sister Betty Hussong along with 2 other sisters in infancy.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a parish prayer service at 4:00 PM . Memorials may be made to St. Francis Catholic Church, the School Sisters of Notre Dame or to Our Lady of the Sioux.
Frank, I am so sorry to learn of Gert’s passing.
She was in my brother, Dale’s class, and I remember her from ND. She was a lot of fun, and I loved her beautiful smile.
I know she will be sorely missed, but please, keep her memory alive. My Aunt always said,
“No one can take those memories away from you.”

My prayers go out to Frank and you kids and grandkids at this sad time. She loved you all so much and it was apparent in how she always spoke of you. What a dear sweet lady. I am so blessed to have been able to work with her and know her. She definitely touched my life.
Gert was a great friend to everyone who knew her. I had the privilege of working with Gert for 6 years. She will be greatly missed. My prayers are with you Frank and family.
