Kathryn DeWitt
Kathryn DeWitt, age 71, of Camp Point, IL died on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 in her home. She was born on October 30, 1947 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Marion Francis and Inez (Hibbert) Tournear. She married Robert Clyde DeWitt on October 13, 1989. He preceded her in death on December 27, 2015.
Mrs. DeWitt was a graduate of Quincy Senior High School and worked as a CNA at the Sunset Home. She was of the Christian Faith. She enjoyed embroidery, flea markets, antiques, and yard sales. She also like fishing. She loved her cats and spending time with her family. She had made quilts for her family.
She is survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Barbara Ann Risley and her husband Doug of Ewing, MO; Adrian Cooley and her husband Kent of Camp Point, IL and Amanda Powers and her significant other Lee Kimber of Pittsfield, IL.
TWO SISTERS: Peggy Cole and Janet Davis along with her husband Larry.
Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
In addition to her husband, She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters; Bonnie Tournear and Barbara Bornman and a brother: Ronald Tournear.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A private graveside will take place at a later date. The Duker and Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
So sorry, She always made my time at Sunset better, she and I talked many times of life after. Death. She was a remarkable lady and Loved her family, Blessings and prayers to each of the family. JUST ME HERE, DON HUNTER
