Kathleen S. “Kitty” Bueter

Kathleen S. “Kitty” Bueter, age 80, of Quincy, passed peacefully with several family members surrounding her on March 10, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Home in Quincy. She was born on March 5, 1944 in Quincy, the daughter of Ferd and Jeanette (Feld) Werneth. She married Tom Bueter on November 28, 1964 in St. Mary Catholic Church in Quincy. He survives.

Kitty first worked at the Rapp Clinic. Later she was a volunteer school secretary at St. Francis Catholic School while her daughters were growing up. She later worked at the Laws Clinic, Franklin Chiropractic and then Quincy Medical Group in the Patient Services Department.

Kitty was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and the Ladies of St. Francis.

In addition to her husband Tom of 59, years, Kitty is also survived by:
DAUGHTERS: Mary (Mike) Foster and Lynn (Audie) Breeden all of Quincy
GRANDCHILDREN: Eric (Kristen) Foster of Quincy and Abbie (Alex Schuh) Foster of Shawnee, KS
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Colby and Lyla Foster of Quincy.
SIBLINGS: Bette Steinkamp of High Point, NC, Bob Werneth, John (Ruth) Werneth, Teri Provine, Laura (Steve) Price, Lisa (Karnell) Williams and Andrew Werneth all of Quincy and a sister-in-law: Mary (Gary) Snodderley of St. Louis, MO.
Many special cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Kitty was preceded in death by her parents, and in -laws: Leroy and Marie Bueter; her brother Jeff Werneth and Brothers-in-law: Ron Steinkamp and Joe Provine.

The family would like to thank the nurses and CNA’s at the Good Samaritan Home and the Blessing Hospice for the comforting care they gave Kitty while living there.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 9:30 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice or to St. Francis Catholic Church. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    Kitty was a wonderful woman. I enjoyed our visits during family reunions. She will be missed. A cousin of many of hers.

    Tom, Mary, Lynn , your families and the 1125’s … Keeping all of you on my heart with prayers. There’ll never be another Kitty! Such a was a loving and compassionate soul. I’m so thankful for having one of the best friends and cousins.

    Kitty was such a sweet, kind, beautiful lady. I worked with her at the clinic and you could not asked for a better coworker. Our deepest sympathy to her husband and 2 daughters, as well as the rest of the family. RIP

    I worked with Kitty at QMG and then I went to Blessing and our jobs worked together as Precertification QUEENS…she gave us that name!! I will miss her conversations and laughter! To her family, my sympathy to you and know she was a beautiful soul..may she rest in peace.
