Kathleen Sue Kennedy, age 61, of 2515 Steven Drive, died on Sunday, August 10, 2008 in Blessing Hospital. Kathleen was born on June 3, 1947 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Leroy J. & Lois Pearl (Laird) Kroeger. She married Luther Kennedy of July 3, 1965 in Alabama. He preceded her in death on May 15, 2002. Mrs. Kennedy attended Quincy High School. She was a member of the Salvation Army in her youth. Kathleen enjoyed spending her time with her family.

She is survived by:
FIVE CHILDREN: Don Kennedy of Quincy; Shane Kennedy and his fiancee Holly Lares of Hannibal, Paul Kennedy of Quincy; Kellie Voepel and her husband Jerry of Quincy, and Bill Kennedy and his companion Jennifer Buchanan of Hannibal, MO.
FOURTEEN GRANDCHILDREN: Dustin Vansickle, Karissa Kennedy, Danielle LeMatty; Jeremy, Amanda and Brandi Kennedy; Kathleen, Amber and Kayla Kennedy; Jason Voepel, Kymia Voepel, and Brandon Voepel; Brooke and Austin Kennedy.
FOUR BROTHERS: Bill Russell and his wife Alice; Bob Kroeger, Butch Kroeger and his wife Rita; and Laird Kroeger and his wife Elena
ONE SISTER: Jeannie Sheehan and her husband Butch
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents, two brothers: Don Russell and Scott Kroeger.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Reverend John Adams. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
