Kathleen Ann Ahern, age 75, of Fowler, died on Thursday, August 1, 2019 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on September 11, 1943 in Quincy, the daughter of Paul J. and Odessa Buzetta (Burrows) McKinney. She married Richard J. Ahern on January 20, 1961 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2004.

Kathleen enjoyed puzzling and going to flea markets. She will be remembered as a hard worker and an amazing mother to not only her own children but the neighborhood children as well.

Kathleen is survived by her five children: Kathy (Gary) Graham of Bowen, IL, Richard R. Ahern of Quincy, Linda (Brenda) Ahern of Springfield, IL, Anita (Rich) Gallaher of Quincy and Kelly (Donald) Evans of Medford, OR. Thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and her significant other Jack Canavan also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, a son, Eric Lee Ahern, two sisters, a daughter-in-law, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Cremation rites have been accorded to Kathleen. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in Greenmount Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Quincy Hospitality House.
