Katherine E. West

Katherine E. West, age 81, of Quincy, IL died on Friday, January 22, 2021 in the Sunset Home. She was born on July 20, 1939 in Vincennes, IN the daughter of Ray and Anna Ensor. She married Lester West on December 22, 1956. He survives.

Katherine was a graduate of Quincy Senior High School. Over the years, she worked at Motorola, Harris Corp. and Hutter Oil Co. Moving to Champaign in 1985 with her husband, she worked at Collegiate Cap & Gown until 2003 when they returned to Quincy.

In addition to her husband, Katherine is also survived by:
TWO GRANDCHILDREN: Amanda Daggett of Quincy and Eric Daggett and his wife Devin of Springfield, IL.
TWO GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Michaela and Erika Veihl
SIBLINGS: Georgia Harris, Gary Ensor and Susie Margurcino.
Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Deborah Meyer.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 6:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3 from 4:00 until the time of the services at 6:00. Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.

    I always enjoyed working with Kathy. She had a special sense of humor and great outlook. I’m so sorry to hear of her passing.
