Karla K. Hadsell

Karla K. Uhlenbrock Hadsell, age 71, of 1819 Klauser Dr., died on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Blessing Hospital. She was born on June 11, 1940 in Hannibal, MO, the daughter of Clifford H. and Anna F. (Fletcher) Crittenden. She was married to Nick Uhlenbrock and he preceded her in death. Karla had most recently worked at the Quincy Senior Center, and formerly was employed in the purchasing departments at Harris Corp., Klaus Radio and Motorola.

Karla was a graduate of Hannibal High School. She greatly loved her grandchildren and all of the family pets. Karla loved to solve crossword puzzles, which she did daily. She also enjoyed crocheting, flowers and plants.

She is survived by:
ONE SON: Tim Uhlenbrock and his wife Martha of Quincy;
ONE DAUGHTER: Vikki Uhlenbrock of Quincy;
THREE GRANDCHILDREN: Adam Clayton, Larry and Logan Huntley, all of Quincy;
THREE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Briana, Micala and Kobe Clayton;
TWO BROTHERS: Bill Crittenden of Indiana; and Gary Crail of Quincy.
Nieces and nephews survive.

She is preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Troy Dean Uhlenbrock, her long-time companion Danny Conner, and a sister-in-law Delores “Dee” Crail.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home, by the Rev. George Tomko. Interment in the Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Quincy Humane Society. www.dukerandhaugh.com
