Karen A. ‘Kay’ Pickett, age 78, of Quincy, died on Monday, December 30, 2024 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on November 5, 1946 in Quincy, the daughter of Lester and Mary (Horn) Hild. She married Donald Pickett on November 5, 1966. He survives.

Until she had children and became a homemaker, Kay worked as a legal secretary.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Kay collected cut glass, gnomes, Santa Claus figures and numerous other things.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by:
SON: Scott Pickett and his wife Pennie
GRANDCHILD: Jersey Pickett
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Thomas Hild and a grandson Myles Lee Pickett.

Cremation rites have been accorded and no formal services are planned at this time. Memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
