June E. Terwelp
June E. Terwelp, age 96, of Mendon, died on Saturday, August 1, 2020 in her home. She was born on June 19, 1924 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Albert and Bertha (Zimmerman) Menke. She married Walter A. Terwelp on June 30, 1948 in St. John Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on October 2, 2002. June worked in the banking industry in the Quincy area for many years. She was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church and a former long time member of St. John Catholic Church.
Family was June’s life.
She is survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Jeff A. Terwelp of Mendon and Debbie Hoskin and her husband Dan of Quincy, IL.
TWO GRANDCHILDREN: Forest Irvine and his fiancé Katie Colbert and Mariah Myiat and her husband Rylan.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
In addition to her husband, June was also preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Edward Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Edward Catholic Church.
