Julie M. Barry
Julie M. Barry, age 30, of 2039 Maple St., Quincy, died on Monday, March 3, 2014 in Blessing Hospital Emergency Room. She was born on January 20, 1984 in Quincy, a daughter of Steve & Carol (Wand) Sturhahn. She married David Barry on October 7 of 2004.
Julie worked at Sturhahn Jewelers and also Transitions and Great River Community Credit Union.
She was a member of the Church of St. Peter.
Julie enjoyed the outdoors, particularly boating and going to the family’s river camp. Her son, David, was the love of her life. She will be remembered as a wonderfully caring person who always put others before herself.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by:
ONE SON, David R. Barry;
PATERNAL GRANDMOTHER, Joan Sturhahn;
THREE SIBLINGS, Christopher Sturhahn and his wife Meghan, Jeffrey Sturhahn and his wife Kristin, and Sarah Stegeman and her husband Kyle.
ONE NIECE & THREE NEPHEWS, Albert Sturhahn, Chiara Sturhahn and Charles Sturhahn; & Preston Sturhahn
Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Donald Sturhahn, and her maternal grandparents, Lawrence & Dorothy Wand.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of St. Peter. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. I am SO very sorry to just learn of Julie’s passing. I know you are grieving terribly. Although I didn’t have Julie in class, I watched her grow up at St. Peter. Tony and I would like to say that we are thinking about you and sorry for your loss. We love having David as a part of our day on bus 72 he brings laughter to the bus ride. Hope he does ok!!

Julie was a nice neighbor, great mother. She loved her parents and son deeply. She will be missed.Her light within will always shine in her Son.
