Julia Luanne Parrish

Julia Luanne Parrish, age 62, of Quincy, died on Sunday, December 20, 2020 in Blessing Hospital. Julia was born on October 4, 1958 in Quincy, the daughter of James A. and Jennie Lou (George) Vogel. She married Larry Dale Parrish on November 15, 1985 in Quincy. He survives.

Julia graduated from Quincy Notre Dame. She was employed by the State of Illinois Child Support Office as a child support case worker, retiring after 33 years of service.

Julia enjoyed being outdoors on the boat with her husband and son, fishing, and being at the pool with her sister, nieces and nephews. She loved her family and was so proud of her son, Zach with his many accomplishments, and also loved animals, especially dogs of which she had two, Casey and Jack, who passed before her.

In addition to her husband Larry, survivors include her son, Zachary Parrish of Lebanon, Mo; siblings: Janice Vogel of Quincy, Jill (Andrew) Wellman of Las Vegas, NV and Jamie (Keith) Klingele of Liberty, IL. Nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A private family service will be held. Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society.

    I recently learned of Julia’s passing. I am broken hearted. Julia and I had some fun times in our past. I did and always will consider her one of my closest friends in life. Love to your family. Dennis
