Judith S. Patterson

Judith S. Patterson, age 66, of Quincy, IL passed away on November 30, 2021. She was born on August 12, 1955 in Kirksvile, MO the daughter of Eugene and Margaret ‘Peggy’ (Ficken) Croarkin. She married Robert Patterson on August 19, 1972. Judy was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Judy was a secretary at St. Francis School for 20 years.

Judy loved all the children she met and the children’s lives she was able to touch through her work at St. Francis through the years. Judy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She liked a simple life… daily walks with her daughter, traveling with her husband and friends, slot machines, her diet pepsi and her famous sugar cookies.

In addition to her husband, Judy is also survived by:
HER CHILDREN: Jason Patterson of Quincy and Samantha McFarland (Dustin) also of Quincy.
GRANDCHILDREN: Zachary, Haley, Grace and Tori Patterson
A GREAT-GRANDCHILD: Harley Patterson
SILBINGS: Gene Croarkin (Karen), Janet Tollenaar (Jeff Hawkins), John Croarkin (Mindy) Joyce Schmitz (Lavern) and Jeanne Bailey (Freddie).
SIBLINGS-IN-LAW: Richard Patterson, Janet Panhorst (Robert), Joyce Davison and Joni Rector (Ron).
Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive.

In addition to her parents, Judy was also preceded in death by her in-laws: Max and Shirley Patterson.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Solanus School for a memorial fund to be established in Judy’s memory. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.     Robert & family- Please accept my sincere condolences. I am so very sorry to hear of Judy’s passing. I was Judy’s classmate since the 1st grade at Mary Immaculate. She was such a sweetheart. Also I remember your wedding, Robert. You are in my prayers- stay strong❤️

    So sorry to hear of Judy’s passing.She was one of my favorite people.I never saw her again after her family moved to Quincy. She was always kind and sweet and quick to smile. She will be missed by many. One less member of the old Harmons IGA family.
