Judith “Judy” A. McGlothlin

Judith “Judy” A. McGlothlin, age 67, of 1023 Jersey, died on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on February 3, 1944 in Quincy the daughter of Charles & Marguerite (Heaney) Fenton. Judy worked at the Casino Starlight for 29 years and then later worked for 11 years as a Respiratory Therapist for St. Elizabeth Hospital in Hannibal. She was a graduate of Quincy Senior High School and completed Respiratory Therapy School.

Judy loved to read books, watch movies and being outdoors. She was well known as the Mayor of Jersey Street, watching the neighborhood from her front porch. Her family was her life.

She is survived by:
HER SIGNIFICANT OTHER: Robert Friedlein of Quincy
THREE CHILDREN: Danny Boll of Quincy, Daneen Cody of LaCrosse, WI; and Cheryl Cole and her husband James “Andy” of Indian Land, SC.
TWO STEP-DAUGHTERS: Robin Boernson and her husband Robert of Quincy and Kelly Jackson and her husband Marty also of Quincy.
TEN GRANDCHILDREN: Danny Lee Boll II, Brandon Dale Manton, Burgundy Chandel Schmidt, Sean Andrew Cole, Shane Anthony Cole, Robert Lee Boernson II and his wife Christina, Ross Wade Boernson, Shannon Marie Jackson, Bobbi Sue Jackson and Nikki Lee Jackson.
THREE BROTHERS: Richard Fenton and his wife Colleen, Larry Fenton and Jim Fenton all of Quincy.
Numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law: Richard Dean Cody and a grandson Matthew Ray Cody.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date at Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 until the time of the services at 1:00. Memorials may be made to an education fund for her grandchildren.
