Judith A. Uppinghouse

Judith A. Uppinghouse, age 81, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, in Blessing Hospital. She was born on September 13, 1940, in Quincy to Fred Kenneth and Florence (Blickhan) Schaefer. She lived in Canton and Quincy most of her life and worked for 23 years in an automobile factory in Keokuk, Iowa.

Judith was a member of Salem Evangelical Church in Quincy and later attended the Crossing. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed life the most when spending time with them. She also loved reading and going to the gambling boats.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cathy A Miller (Darrell) of Kinderhook, IL and Becky A. Norton (Randy) of Quincy; 4 grandchildren, Katie A. Glasscock of Riverton, IL, Molly E. Glasscock of Barry, IL and Ashley A. Norton and Ryan D. (Shelby) Norton both of Quincy; 4 great-grandchildren, Maleia D. Horton, Myles D. Minter, Mason D. Howser and Remington D. Norton.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has been accorded to Judith. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home.

    To the Family of Judy Uppinghouse,
    After reading this obituary I believe that Judy graduated from QHS in 1958 with us. We had lost track of her.
    It is always sad to learn of the death of one of our classmates.

    My heart is broken! I will miss you so much Cousin! I will miss our once or twice a week phone calls to catch up. As hard as it is knowing you are gone, I am glad you are no longer in pain and in a beautiful place with our family who have gone ahead. I will be there for Cathy and Becky any way I can. My love is with your family. I will see you again! ❤️
