Judith A. ‘Judy’ Gillette, age 83, of Quincy, IL, passed away on July 31, 2023 at Blessing Hospital.

Judy was born on January 13, 1940 in Quincy, IL to Wilbert and Bernice (Cecil) Gillette. She has no survivors left in her family, but she does have several special friends: Mary Mueller, the Ippensen family, and many other friends who survive.

Judy first worked at Monroe (Putnam Dye) Company for twenty years. Then Judy worked at Niehaus Auto, Quincy Municipal Credit Union and the Adams County Courthouse before her retirement.

Judy was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, bowling, baseball and was a long-time member of Eagles Auxiliary #535. She especially loved her dogs, as she was a great animal lover.

Funeral services will be on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 until the time of the services at 11:00 She will be laid to rest at Greenmount Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to donor’s choice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
